Rooted in Empathy, Inspired by Everyday Life
"How do you pronounce your last name?"
It’s pronounced boo-ee — yes, like the floating thing in the water.
I’m a product designer based in Chicago, IL with a background in marketing design. I began my career working with startups, brand experience companies, and agencies, where I honed my visual storytelling and creative strategy skills. Over time, I transitioned into user-centered product design, where I discovered my love for solving complex problems through empathy, research, and iterative design. I thrive on understanding how people think, behave, and interact with digital products — and crafting solutions that meet their needs with clarity and intention.
Most recently, I traveled solo through Japan and Korea, soaking up the design-forward cultures, from the seamless transit systems to the thoughtfully curated retail experiences. I returned not only inspired by the attention to detail and hospitality in every interaction, but also with a deeper appreciation for intuitive and inclusive design.
Outside of work, I’m usually finding any excuse to be outdoors (especially with my dog, Barry), joining a new intramural sport, experimenting in the kitchen, or hunting down the best bites in town. I’ll always have a list of food recs — whether you're headed to Chicago, Seoul, or Tokyo.
